Born inside a medico-legal practice

ClinLexis was born inside a working medico-legal practice. Its medical co-founder is a consultant neurologist who has acted as an expert witness in over 400 clinical negligence and personal injury claims, and the problem the platform addresses is the one his practice lived with: thousands of pages of records behind every opinion, and the preparation those pages consume before a single paragraph can be written.

Development began privately in 2025, with a technologist co-founder who had spent two decades building large-scale systems in regulated environments. From the first design discussions, one constraint defined the product: its output must be checkable against the source records, because that is the standard an expert is held to.
