Clinical safety under DCB0129, with a practising consultant as CSO
ClinLexis maintains a clinical safety case under DCB0129, the NHS clinical risk management standard that applies to manufacturers of health IT: a Clinical Risk Management Plan, a Hazard Log and a Clinical Safety Case, reviewed as the product changes. Hazards are assessed clinically before features ship.
The appointed Clinical Safety Officer is Dr Khaled Abdel-Aziz PhD FRCP, consultant neurologist, co-founder of ClinLexis and in current NHS practice. Clinical risk decisions are made by a clinician who uses medical records professionally, not by a compliance function at arm’s length.
The same governance underpins the platform’s design rule: it organises and presents evidence, and does not offer clinical or legal opinion.
